ProfileDiscovery Operations Manager The candidate will implant a new discovery managed services provider and program. Will serve as liaison between the Litigation Department and the discovery managed services provider meeting regularly with the provider to better understand the relationship, drive improvements and identify problems early. Work very closely with attorneys to understand their requirements and what is best served to enhance productivity and performance and communicate those requirements to the Chair of the Discovery Practice Group and the Practice Director-Litigation. Work collaboratively with the Discovery Practice Group to identify project scope, requirements and objectives on various matters. Manage relations with the discovery managed services provider, and other discovery vendors as needed, which includes soliciting and evaluating vendor proposals, overseeing work in progress, reviewing work accomplished, monitoring compliance with Day Pitney process and creating regular reports on the effectiveness of the services and tools provided. Engage early in the life of matters, including daily review of new matter memoranda, to identify the most cost-effective process options developed by the Discovery Practice Group. Work with the Information Systems Department to resolve technical problems and keep abreast of new discovery related tools and technologies, evaluating and recommending alternatives. Maintain a solid relationship with and provide consulting to the Litigation Department. Ensure project requirements are being met with the highest quality and accuracy by verifying output and communicating routinely with the Chair of the Discovery Practice Group. Consistently deliver proactive communication with the Litigation Department and the discovery managed services provider and immediately address or expeditiously escalate issues to the Chair of the Discovery Practice Group. Demonstrate leadership, deliver project objectives professionally and with high quality. Provide training and mentoring to new hires and current employees. Bachelorâ€™s degree or paralegal certificate from an accredited institution required or equivalent experience is needed. Should have 3-5 yearsâ€™ experience as a paralegal or discovery project manager. Project management experience, training or certification, such as a PMP or equivalent experience is needed. Strong writing, verbal communication, organizational, technical and interpersonal skills are needed. Strong working knowledge of various litigation support and discovery tools are needed.

They should cut back on the video conferencing and there should be more weekly conferences and discussions that are face to face.Pros : The benefits of working at this firm are great. The salary is great and they just expanded the paid leave not too long ago.
