A law firm in Chicago, IL is seeking a highly skilled Senior Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its dynamic team. The candidate will collaborate closely with the firm's established litigators and diverse client base, offering significant opportunities for professional growth and advancement.

Duties:

  • Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in labor and employment law matters.
  • Handle all aspects of litigation, including drafting pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support ongoing cases and client consultations.
  • Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as required.
  • Negotiate settlements and participate in alternative dispute resolution methods.
  • Advise clients on employment policies, compliance issues, and risk management strategies.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience practicing law in a law firm or corporate legal department, with a focus on labor and employment law.
  • Admission to the Nevada Bar (active and in good standing).
  • Strong preference for candidates with previous experience in general civil litigation.
  • Proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
  • Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a high caseload and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and colleagues.
  • Commitment to maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the Nevada State Bar.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research databases and software (Westlaw, LexisNexis, etc.).
  • Advanced knowledge of labor and employment laws and regulations.
  • Strong negotiation and advocacy skills.
