Legal Assistant, Corporate The candidate will prepare memoranda to open new matters. Assist in the drafting, formatting, and proofreading of legal documents. Assist with calendaring critical dates. Create and maintain schedules for client meetings. Create, maintain and organize electronic and hard copy files. Prepare transmittal cover letters. Save, print, and file document submissions. Prepare and track delivery requests as needed. Create accounting bills and expense reports as needed. Maintain closed files. Should have 2+ years of experience in a law firm environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel is required. Working knowledge of ProLaw or similar document management systems are needed. Experience with editing, revising, and drafting legal documents are needed. Exemplary organizational skills and keen attention to detail is essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. Accurate typing speed of 65+ wpm is needed. Should have the ability to multitask and complete projects with little direction. Must have the ability to use discretion and handle confidential information. Should have the ability to meet deadlines and produce high-quality work products.
