Global Privacy Officer (Compliance Senior Director) The candidate will develop corporate privacy policies and procedures. Will report on a periodic basis regarding the status of the privacy program to the Board, CEO and/or XX Committee. Provide strategic guidance to corporate officers regarding information resources and technology. Assist the information security officer with the development and implementation of an information infrastructure. Provide leadership in planning, design and evaluations of privacy and security related projects. Manage corporate-wide privacy training program. Resolve allegations of non-compliance with the corporate privacy policies or notice of information practices. Develop appropriate sanctions for failure to comply with corporate privacy policies and procedures. Coordinate the development of privacy risk assessment policies and procedures. Establish and manage required breach risk assessment, documentation, and mitigation process. Works with Human Resources to ensure consistent application of sanctions for privacy violations. Establish an internal privacy audit program. Coordinate external audit processes of business partners. Periodically review the privacy program in light of change in laws, regulations and company policy. Coordinate with the CCO regarding procedures for documenting and reporting self-disclosure of any evidence of policy violation.Work with organization senior management, information security and compliance officer to establish governance for the privacy program. Collaborate with information security and audit to ensure alignment between security and privacy compliance programs including policies, practices, and investigations. Work with legal and other related parties to represent the organization’s information privacy interest with external parties (state or local government bodies) who undertake to adopt or amend privacy legislation or regulation..Bachelor’s degree. Juris Doctor or master’s degree is strongly preferred. Must have 10+ years of compliance and/or privacy experience in positions of increasing responsibility. Minimum of 5+ years of privacy experience. Significant experience managing large and high profile information incidents and security breaches is essential. Experience interacting with state regulators, federal regulators, clients and customers with respect to information incidents, audits or other privacy or information protection related inquiries is essential. Must have outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
