We are seeking a Community Moderator, who will be responsible for maintaining and innovating one of the world's leading law student/law school related forums.
This role will be responsible for setting and implementing policies to help facilitate a productive user community around law students and law school related discussions.
If you’re quick on your feet, enjoy the complexities of working in an online environment, and have experience managing a large, vibrant online community, we’d like to talk to you! We would strongly prefer you have a legal background so that you can draw from your own background when contributing to this community.
Moderators should be able to handle and solve situations involving troublesome users quickly. They should also be active on these forums and know how to use good spelling and grammar. They must be mature and not flame any user. They must follow all the rules of the forum. They should be on the internet most days of the week, with the exception of holidays, so they can solve problems users have as swiftly as possible.
What you will do:
Develop, implement and manage global enforcement of content policies related to our legal forums and community.
Work with Public Relations and Legal, advising on the forum’s team decision making and policies.
Capable of conducting independent data analysis to inform decisions and improve operational processes.
Build a world-class online community for law students and law schools.
Coordinate with technical team to develop and improve forum experience and internal toolset.
Troubleshoot technical issues and interface with engineers to ensure resolution.
Create detailed guidelines and templates to support consistent forum moderation and possibly manage a team of moderators as well.
Report on operational performance and metrics; develop action plans for improvement as necessary.
Provide relevant and timely feedback to leadership team.
