Lead Litigation Attorney Duties: Provide leadership and management for litigation attorneys in accordance to the company mission and core values. Responsible for reviewing files as they are assigned and developing strategies for handling files. Responsible for communicating strategies to clients, preparing and previewing pleadings and communicating same with clients. Responsible for preparing and answering discovery requests, motions and briefs. Responsible for attending hearings, preparing and communicating case status reports, and preparing billing reports.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree required. Licensed to practice law in: VA, MD and DC preferred, would consider VA and MD only. Experience with title review, title litigation, FDCPA, RESPA, foreclosure law, real property law. Seven years of legal practice experience required. Previous managerial experience preferred. Leadership: a demonstrated ability to lead people and get results through others. Employee training and development. Demonstrated high level of ability to perform research and efficiently and effectively communicate results both verbally and written, including publication. Demonstrated high level ability to interface and negotiate with outside counsel and other business contacts. Knowledge of various corporate structures and arrangements and demonstrated ability to review and recommend alternatives. Demonstrated ability to effectively assess and balance risks and make business decisions.
