# Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office Juvenile Justice Division Assistant State’s Attorney

The Cook County State’s Attorney Office is looking for an Assistant State’s Attorney for its Criminal Prosecutions Bureau. This is a full-time, exempt position with a salary commensurate with experience.

## Responsibilities

The Assistant State’s Attorney will be responsible for:
* Prosecuting misdemeanor, felony, and traffic cases under the Criminal Code of the State of Illinois
* Managing misdemeanor, felony and traffic caseloads
* Handling preliminary hearings, grand jury indictments, and bond hearings for felony cases
* Working closely with multiple law enforcement agencies
* Representing the People of the State of Illinois in hearings and trials
* Communicating the mission and values of the CCSAO to members of the community

## Qualifications
