Litigation Manager The candidate will ensure delivery of the Litigation process for NY which will include billing, calendaring and proper file management. Will ensure that legal assistants and team leader meet or exceed client expectations with respect to quality and cycle times. The Litigation Manager will oversee risk reports and staff productivity. Effectively develop their staff, identify training needs, and continuously develop their skills and capabilities. Expected to continuously improve business processes through analysis and collaboration with staff and Firm management. Frequent and proactive interaction with Managing Attorneys of the Firm will be required. Ability to effectively communicate information relating to contested matters to the appropriate departments/staff. Problem solve and seek out the best solution in attempts to settle contested issues. Resolve routine issues including, but not limited to: escalations, client demands/concerns, court requests etc. Daily monitoring of contested legal matters, reports, new pleadings, etc. Maintain knowledge of litigation processes/industry challenges and solutions. Establish and maintain strong, effective working relationships with staff, attorneyâ€™s, clients and court personnel. Maintain a high level of customer service through proactive communications with clients, attorneys and employees. Act as a point of contact/liaison with the attorney, ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. Demonstrates professional behavior and teamwork, is punctual, dependable and adheres to Company policies and procedures. Ability to adapt to needs of the department.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Bachelorâ€™s degree, preferably in business/ legal related field. Must have 3-4 years of Foreclosure experience. Must have 4-5 years of Litigation experience. Must have 2-3 years of experience managing a team of 4 or more in a fast paced, deadline oriented organization. Must have demonstrated ability to identify improvement opportunities and develop and implement action plans. Strong experience with current computer programs (Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) is required.
