ProfileCounsel I The candidate will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing and analyzing state and federal legislation and regulations for all areas of the Corporation. Will be managing primary responsibilities that include researching and analyzing state and federal regulations, legislation, and other regulatory issuance applicable to the Corporation; preparing high-level summary of the applicable provisions; and ensuring proper notification of regulatory changes to affected Law Department and compliance teams based on understanding of Corporation’s functional risk framework. Responds to inquiries concerning new regulatory changes and proposed regulatory changes. Attentive to regulatory changes and trends affecting the financial services industry. May provide additional support on corporate regulatory matters. Extensive knowledge and understanding of research, counsel, and guidance on complex legal questions or inquiries is needed. Strong attention to detail and accuracy skill is essential. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill is needed. Effective organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skill is essential. Ability to analyze legal issues in substantive law in area of practice and provide effective advice to clients on routine legal matters are needed. Ability to use online research tools, such as Westlaw, legislative monitoring websites, and government websites; as well as navigate within internal databases are needed. Experience researching laws and regulations. Knowledge of legislative and regulatory processes. Broad knowledge of WFC businesses, services and product lines is needed.
