Firm lawyers represent clients in every state as well as numerous foreign jurisdictions. The firm is organized by legal specialization: corporate, e-commerce, employee benefits, estate planning, government and regulatory affairs, health law, intellectual property, international, litigation and tax. Paralegal - Bankruptcy The candidate supports the bankruptcy and litigation attorneys with legal support. Maintains the case files, monitors project assistants and law clerks, assists attorneys in trials, and reviews document productions. Will draft shell/non-substantive notices, motions, affidavits, orders, briefs and other court filings based on past precedent. Prepare bankruptcy petitions and research, gather and summarize cases utilizing Firm research databases and verify citations including Shepardizing. Monitor dockets for relevant pleadings and conducting docket searches-pull and organize docket filings. Prepare fee applications for monthly filings. Assist attorneys with trial preparations, including organizing exhibits and preparing hearing binders. File documents with the court and file proofs of claim on behalf of the Firm in bankruptcy cases. Maintain case/correspondence files and service lists. Should have a Bachelor s degree or Paralegal Certificate.Should have 2+ years of related work experience.
