ProfileLegal Assistant Duties: Prepares Documents: Using MS Word and the firm’s case management and document storage systems, composes and processes necessary documents (i.e. routine cover letters and enclosures, memorandum, complex legal documents). Prepares document for distribution and filing (e-filing) as required. Court Filing Experience: Must maintain experience and familiarity with filing court pleadings. Coordinates Financial Functions: Prepares daily time entries for assigned attorneys as needed and submits in a timely manner. Prepares expense reimbursement and disbursement requests. Provides Administrative Support: Prepares and processes new matter notifications. Receives and screens phone calls and takes messages as required. Schedules and arranges for conference rooms and meals. Scheduling - manages multiple attorney calendars as needed, including initial scheduling, confirmations and reminders. Greet visitors, answer phones, general office management in absence of receptionist.
Qualification and Experience
Qualifications: 5 years’ experience as a Legal Assistant. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products - PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc. Ability to take dictation. Technologically savvy. Experience with case management systems.

Organizing more meetings and events that can help associates brainstorm with other departments would be something I think that can help with the efficiency of the work place.Pros : I really like the people I work with here. Everyoneis willing to offer assistance. A lot of the attorneys are knowledgeable in different areas of law. The pay and benefits are also great.
