ProfileContract Specialist The candidate drafts and reviews contracts and provides guidance on contract standards. Identifies, analyzes, researches and resolves legal and business process issues and makes appropriate recommendations. Participates in contract negotiations. Identifies risk, determines the level of risk and routes appropriately. Recommends, develops and/or implements contracting policies, procedures and processes. Monitors compliance with internal firm business and legal processes and policies. Prepares presentations for the attorneys and presents to senior leaders, as applicable. Prepares contract summaries and/or issues lists to present to attorney, senior law leaders or clients for review, if applicable. Consults on legal provisions within the contracts. Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of firm business units (BUs), products, strategy, and operational model. Identifies risk, determines and makes recommendations on the level of risk and routes appropriately. Interacts with specialists, attorneys and able to manage their client contract needs. Works independently with a limited degree of supervision from manager or attorneys. Monitors compliance with internal firm business and legal processes and policies. Works as a resource for colleagues within the department and point of contact for cross-functional BU leaders. Owns and manages significant contracting processes and the contract from assignment to final executable with limited manager oversight, as required. Should have 5-7 years of Related work experience in a Corporate legal department in the healthcare or technology industries. Should have 5+ Contracting experience; broad-based understanding of contracting terms, drafts and reviews more complex contracts and provides guidance on contract standards. Must have 3-5 years Participates in negotiations. Contract Management Database (Selectica) and Experience with Contract generation (SalesForce / Abttus) software. Identifies opportunities for, and assists in the development of contracting policies, procedures and processes. Experience in drafting, interpreting, and/or monitoring compliance with contract language is needed. Experience working on Software licensing contracts are needed. Should have 2 year Associates degree and/or Paralegal Certificate.
