Paralegal / Legal Assistant - Closing Specialist The candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of documenting life settlement transactions from acceptance through closing. Accurately preparing and processing purchase and sale agreements and other transaction documents, ensuring regulatory compliance, conducting transaction due diligence and coordinating closing requirements with transaction counter parties. Manage multiple ongoing transactions at any given time. Accurately prepare and review closing documents. Review transaction file for issues and deficiencies and facilitate resolution. Communicate with client or its counsel regarding transaction diligence requirements. Develop relationships with key clients, brokers, and escrow agents. Identify, develop and implement process efficiencies in the transaction process. Proactively develop and maintain relationships with sales and marketing team.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate must have Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience. Should have relevant work experience as paralegal or in document preparation, contract reviewing and/or transaction due diligence. Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, primarily Word and Excel is required. Strong communication and organizational skills is needed.
