ProfileBilingual Legal Assistant Duties: Provide administrative support to the attorneys managing a high-volume caseload of immigration and legal matters. This position also requires substantial client interaction. Prepare immigration forms and organize supporting documentation. Handle phone calls with clients and governmental employees. Meet with clients and provide interpretation Schedule and confirm attorney appointments. Track and enter mail into computer. Prepare client correspondence. Open and close case files. Assist with client billing. Translation of documents from Spanish to English and English to Spanish. Prepare client filings and pleadings with governmental agencies.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Experience as an Immigration Legal Assistant, entry-level applicants with other office experience who have a genuine interest in immigration issues and a demonstrated aptitude for learning new tasks quickly. Fluency in Spanish is required (written and oral). Strong organization and attention to detail. Ability to multitask and manage multiple cases on a daily basis. Ability to meet strict deadlines. Computer literacy. Strong work ethic. Self-motivated.
