Employment Counsel The candidate will be guiding sophisticated business and HR clients on federal, state and local labor and employment law topics, including: nondiscrimination and anti-harassment; disability law; wages, hours and pay practices; family, medical and other leaves of absence; labor law; employee non-competes; and government contractor compliance requirements. Will be managing labor and employment-related matters, charges, and litigation. Partnering with outside counsel, as needed, in handling various labor and employment disputes. Leading complex, cross-functional projects supporting 3Mâ€™s business and HR priorities. Developing and leading training on labor and employment law topics. Developing and sharing knowledge and best practices with colleagues in support of a collaborative, flexible and energizing team environment. Bachelorâ€™s degree or higher from an accredited university is needed. JD degree from an accredited law school is needed. Should have 4+ years of law firm and/or in-house experience specializing in labor and employment law. Strong academic credentials is preferred. Admitted to practice in Minnesota or eligible for admission within six months of employment are needed. Inclusive, collegial and collaborative work style are needed. Client counseling experience, particularly in labor and employment law is needed.
