Duties

  • Manage and oversee high-level legal matters from inception through resolution, ensuring strategic and effective handling of each case.
  • Communicate and collaborate with clients and attorneys to address legal issues and provide expert guidance.
  • Produce high-quality legal work, meeting billable hour requirements to deliver exceptional client service.
  • Independently manage and prioritize multiple cases, demonstrating strong problem-solving abilities and productivity.
  • Engage in business development activities, both individually and within the firm, to attract and retain clients.
  • Maintain adherence to the highest ethical standards and professional conduct in all legal matters.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • . or Master's Degree in a Life Sciences discipline is preferred.
  • Expertise in immunology, genetics, molecular biology, and/or pharmaceuticals is highly preferred.
  • Registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in Missouri (MO).

Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm or in a judicial clerkship.
  • 6+ years of experience as a licensed attorney at a law firm is preferred.

Skills

  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to handle complex legal issues effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for client and attorney interactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while managing multiple cases.
  • Proven track record in litigation and legal analysis within the life sciences sector.
