Legal Counsel Duties: Negotiate and draft contracts under the direction of the Senior Director, Business & Legal Affairs on a worldwide basis for various business divisions, including production/distribution, new media/social gaming, tour management, marketing (social media/sweepstakes/contests/promotions), online/social gaming, consumer products and sponsorship. Handle matters pertaining to regulatory compliance, acquisitions/mergers, risk management, corporate formalities, intellectual property (enforcement of trademarks, copyrights and patents), admin/HR and master calendar tracking. Work with and provide legal guidance to business teams and respond promptly to a wide range of legal requests from all business teams.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: JD Degree (Admission to California State Bar in good standing or admission to another State bar and willingness and qualifications to be “Registered In-House Counsel”). 2-4 years' experience in general corporate law, entertainment and/or social gaming law at a reputable firm and/or in-house department. Excellent drafting, negotiating, analytical, strategic, creative and organizational skills. Detail-oriented, able to multi-task, strong work ethic. Excellent understanding of intellectual property laws and concepts, including trademarks and copyrights. Teamwork-oriented with friendly personality and desire to word in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to self-manage, work flexible hours and communicate effectively with stakeholders worldwide.
