Job Overview:
A dynamic law firm is seeking an experienced Associate Attorney to join its team, specializing in secured lending, civil litigation, title litigation, and bankruptcy matters. The role demands a detail-oriented individual with critical thinking skills who thrives in a team-oriented culture while also working independently when necessary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of legal processes, from drafting legal documents to making court appearances. Location:

  • Long Beach, CA

Duties:

  • Analyze files and develop strategy and budget within 24 hours of intake.
  • Draft and review civil litigation documents, including discovery, dispositive motions, and client correspondence.
  • Review chain of title, foreclosure documents, and respond to lender and agent requests.
  • Think quickly and shift tasks based on daily needs and priorities.
  • Make court appearances across California and provide same-day updates to clients.
  • Collaborate with staff and assist in a professional and supportive manner.
  • Write, review, and edit reports, legal opinions, and compliance-related documents.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Strong character, positive attitude, and a commitment to teamwork.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Must be self-motivated with excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to work remotely with the same level of efficiency as in the office.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar and in good standing.

Certifications:

  • Must be licensed to practice law in California.

Skills:

  • Strong writing skills and ability to draft legal documents.
  • Ability to work with federal, state, and local laws and analyze case law.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research platforms such as WestLaw or LexisNexis.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to maintain professionalism with clients, court officers, and colleagues.
