Contract Specialist, Business & Legal Affairs The candidate will collaborate with senior team members to incorporate and improve form language, and drive organizational strategy, streamlining departmental operations. Owns and manages the Business and Legal Affairs digital and hard-copy forms libraries. Proposes new initiatives for process improvement, performs exploratory analysis of cross-divisional business practices, and empowers compliance/best practices with departmental protocols. Analyzes, updates and conforms complex contract provisions across domestic and international production forms. Maintains accurate, up-to-date departmental matter status reports. Assists with special legal projects as assigned by senior team members. Drafts and revises talent agreements (e.g., producers, directors, and actors) under attorney supervision. Should have 3+ years of entertainment experience as a Contracts Specialist, Analyst, Paralegal, or comparable role, preferably working in production at a major studio, production company, or talent law firm. Must have experience drafting, revising and redlining entertainment contracts, preferably for film or television productions. Should have experience with: Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.); document comparison programs; enterprise document management systems. Bachelor’s degree required.
