Counsel - Litigation Case Oversight and Administration Team - Associate Responsibilities: Review and triage of new incoming Legal litigation matters for assignment to in house counsel along with determining the accurate Line of Business to handle the matter.. Accurately complete the initial case set up in the litigation matter management system, including drafting a concise summary of the allegations, properly categorizing the case based on the allegations presented, and highlighting issues in the case. Communicate with attorneys and senior management regarding assignment of new cases. Preparation and distribution of reports regarding the accuracy and completeness of the case management data in the matter management system, and correspond with legal professionals concerning the same. Review and analyze matters submitted by the legal professionals for closure in the matter management system, ensuring all fields are updated accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures. Recognition of high risk matters and trends in litigation, and timely escalation to management.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: JD Degree or educational equivalent required. Attorney candidates must be in compliance with all relevant licensing requirements including the requirements of the jurisdiction where the role will be located prior to commencement of employment. 3+ years of legal experience. A litigation background is preferred. Must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment. Strong oral and written communication skills. Analytical, organizational, research, presentation, time management, and project management skills. Excellent attention to detail. Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously. Excel and PowerPoint skills. Spanish Language skills are a plus.
