Real Estate Paralegal The candidate will be responsible for creating, proofing, editing and revising and occasionally negotiating legal documents, contracts and correspondence required for residential real estate transactions. Will be responsible for maintaining files; performing due diligence; monitoring the progress of open real estate matters; and, following up to ensure all required actions are completed in a timely manner. Assist with transactions including drafting and compiling transaction documents, forming corporate entities, preparing closing checklists and tracking completion of checklist items; and, preparing closing binders. Negotiate contracts with between company, sellers and agents. Preparing title and survey summaries, communicating with attorneys and title agents regarding title issues. Responsible for assisting real estate attorneys with reviewing title commitments, title exception documents, and surveys. Assisting with diligence on real estate closings. Prepare interpretation of contract language when disputes arise. May prepare affidavits of documents and maintain document files. Work within Salesforce creating records, closing transactions and uploading documents. Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, and legal codes. Must have Associate's degree (AA) from an accredited college or university, Bachelorâ€™s is preferred. Paralegal certificate is required. Should have 3+ years of directly related experience. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word.
