Senior Paralegal The candidate will review, edit and comment on agreements drafted by others (e.g. business clients and counterparties). Develop complex agreements or provisions that require significant independent drafting. Negotiate contracts within agreed parameters of authority to make final decisions on legal issues. Track contract execution and follow up on expiration/renewal. Create systems and procedures for document and file management and retention. Provide training to associates regarding significant recurring legal issues. Explain contractual relationships to associates and counsel associates on the implications that such relationships have on the Company’s strategies and actions. Manage the domestic and international trademark, copyright and domain name portfolios. Analyze contracts, leases and other legal documents to summarize key data and enter into company databases. Manage electronic file organization and document management for Legal Department. Monitor and audit matters for compliance. Research and analyze information. Should have excellent written and verbal communication skills – Clearly articulates ideas, opinions and information. Work effectively with minimum supervision. Collaborate and work in a team setting effectively. Coordinate and organize resources and tasks in efficient and effective manner. Must have 7+ years of paralegal experience in a corporate setting. A Bachelor’s degree from a four year college or university and completion of an ABA-approved paralegal program is preferred. Demonstrated management of contracts and trademark portfolios required. Anticipated Start Date: April 2, 2018.
