Trial Court Staff Attorney The candidate will be responsible work conducting legal research activities at the Circuit Court level. The work involves considerable interpretation and judgment in the analysis of legal issues in criminal, family, and/or appellate law. Job duties include, but are not limited to, managing cases and assignments, conducting research, drafting court orders and memoranda of law, and orally advising judges on research. The Staff Attorney may occasionally work in other areas of the law as needed by the Circuit and may receive other assignments from the Senior Staff Attorney or Court Counsel. Contacts are limited primarily to judges and court personnel. Work is under the general supervision of the Senior Staff Attorney and is reviewed through observation, judicial feedback, periodic conferences, and performance reviews. Must have completed Graduation from an accredited law school and membership is needed The Florida Bar, although persons who are currently pursuing membership are eligible to apply but will be required to attain Florida Bar membership within one year of appointment.
