Real Estate and Corporate Legal Assistant The candidate primary responsibilities would include the following legal and administrative tasks: Preparing drafts of leases and other lease-related documents (using templates) and tracking leasing workflow through execution; Supporting acquisition activities, including the performance of diligence searches and the preparation of closing binders; Assisting in various corporate matters, including EDGAR filings of SEC Forms and filings with the NYSE, as well as entity management; and Performing a significant amount of core administrative tasks, such as copying, filing, workflow monitoring and payment of invoices.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Bachelorâ€™s degree or paralegal certificate. Must have experience working in a corporate or similar environment, preferably at a real estate company or law firm, but candidates with other types of backgrounds will be considered, including recent college graduates with limited work experience. Proficiency with software and technology (proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel is a must; proficiency with Lease Pilot, Yardi, and/or EDGAR and NYSE filing systems are a plus, but not mandatory).
