Legal Assistant The candidate provides administrative support to Legal staff, General Counsel, and other roles as directed, working independently and confidentially on legal projects, as assigned. Prepares, reviews, researches and manages legal documents pertaining to the legal function. Manages files for compliance with the records retention policy. Conducts researches, collects data, and prepares related reports and spreadsheets. Ensures all sensitive and confidential information is handled appropriately. Exhibits excellent written and verbal skills. Performs internet research. Performs well in a fast paced environment. Complies and follows all procedures within various company policies including the Information Security and Risk Management Policy. Coordinates all matters relating to the Board of Directors. Prepares legal agenda and related supporting documents for all Board meetings (i.e. resolutions, director summary, shell minutes, etc.). Prepares meeting notices and agendas for all Committee meetings of the Board (i.e. Audit, Compensation and Nominating and Corporate Governance Committees). Prepares and files electronic Statements of Changes in Beneficial Ownership of Securities for Section 16 reporting persons (i.e. Forms, 3, 4 and 5). Monitors and tracks all 10b51 Trading Plans entered into by Section 16 reporting persons. Maintains General Counsels calendar, contacts, and related matters. Coordinates or makes all travel arrangements, both domestic and international. Supports other roles as directed. Organizes meetings and conferences. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have 5+ years of experience in legal environment or equivalent external work experience. Strong communication and interpersonal skill is essential. Must have proficiency in meeting established deadlines. Must have solid knowledge of computer skills including email and related functionality, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Associate's Degree, First Degree, Trade/Vocational School certificate or Equivalent required. Degree in legal studies is preferred. Typing of general and legal documents is essential.
