Duties:

  • Draft and prosecute patent applications effectively.
  • Collaborate with clients and team members on intellectual property matters.
  • Participate in client meetings and discussions, ensuring strategic legal advice.
  • Conduct research and analysis of technical and legal literature.
  • Prepare legal documentation and handle all phases of patent prosecution.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of patent laws and changes in the field.
  • Support partners and senior attorneys on various IP projects.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of experience in patent application drafting and prosecution.
  • Strong understanding of intellectual property law and relevant procedures.
  • Admission to a State Bar.
  • Admission to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
  • Excellent academic credentials.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Education:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Technical degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).

Certifications:

  • State Bar admission.
  • USPTO admission.

Skills:

  • Excellent research and drafting skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision.
