Paralegal The candidate assists attorneys in handling assigned case files and delivering other legal services under attorney supervision. Assists attorneys in discovery and/or trial preparation. Drafts pleadings, motions, subpoenas, and other documents as assigned. Education, experience, and thorough understanding of litigation process in state of operation and local jurisdiction. Review incoming legal mail. Monitors and ensures compliance with all deadlines including, but not limited to, proposal for settlements and discovery. Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Insurance defense and/or PIP experience is essential. Strong organizational and case management skills are required. Must possess excellent grammar, proofreading skills, and a superior work ethic. Proficient knowledge of all State and Federal Court Procedures, e-filing procedures and deadlines for specific tasks assigned i.e. filing discovery is essential. Should have 2+ years of experience as a paralegal. Paralegal Certificate preferred.
