Job Overview: A law firm based in San Francisco, CA is seeking an experienced Employment Defense Litigation Associate Attorney. This role requires a dedicated professional with a strong background in employment litigation, capable of handling complex cases involving discrimination, harassment, wage & hour issues, and employment contracts. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in federal and state employment statutes, possess robust litigation skills, and be adept at providing strategic legal advice.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute litigation strategies for employment defense cases.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Take and defend depositions, argue motions, and handle pre-trial and trial matters.
  • Provide legal advice on workplace law issues, including employee relations, ADA accommodations, employment agreements, and reductions in force.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on employment-related statutes and case law.
  • Work independently on assigned cases, while also collaborating with other attorneys and staff as necessary.
  • Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and other legal proceedings.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in employment litigation, either on the defense or plaintiff's side.
  • Demonstrated experience with discrimination, harassment, wage & hour claims, and employment contract cases.
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment statutes.
  • Strong litigation skills, including drafting pleadings, taking/defending depositions, and arguing motions.
  • Experience providing advice and counsel on workplace law issues, such as employee relations and ADA accommodations, is beneficial.

  • Admission to the CA Bar.

Education:

Certifications:

  • Admitted to the CA Bar.
