Patient Safety Coordinator The candidate will report to Tenet’s Patient Safety and Clinical Risk Director and is responsible for developing and managing data from event reporting systems and compliance monitoring software. Will collaborate with key stakeholders to implement strategic and operational programs in support of Tenet’s Patient Safety program. Supports and facilitates the implementation of systems and processes that promote a culture of safety and high reliability to reduce patient and employee harm. Collaborate with the facility Patient Safety Officers in providing education on use of their respective event reporting systems and compliance monitoring software.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field, clinical experience preferred. Will consider paralegal, health information management, business administration and licensed vocational nurse experience. Proven analytical/statistical skills is required. Must have kowledge and application of quality, safety, risk management and regulatory standards preferred. Must have familiarity with data collection, analysis, and reporting is necessary to educate others and to appreciate variance in performance results. Experience in facilitation of improvement initiatives is required. Must be proficient with MS Office, data entry, aggregation synthesis and report generation to include visual graphics and developing reports for databases (i.e. Tableau).
