The candidate will be completing research as well as preparing and executing legal documents for the attorneys and business operations for their respective areas. Conducts research and carries out legal assignments for attorneys within the assigned business group. Work is reviewed and evaluated by others. Assist in drafting, preparation and negotiation of various basic documents and service agreements. Maintain and organize legal processes, procedures and templates as required by the business group. Maintain contact with internal business stakeholders and assigned attorneys to assist with and complete work requests. Work with attorneys, paralegals and business subject matter experts across business lines to compile information for the legal groups for such things as claims reviews, subrogation matters, internal/external audits and regulatory inquiries. Maintain confidentiality of information.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Associates degree in a business field or equivalent experience. Must have Paralegal experience or formal legal training. Should preferable have Experience using LEXIS/NEXIS, Westlaw Previous experience in the health and/or life insurance industry is desired. Must have organizational skills to handle diverse responsibilities within prescribed target dates. Should have communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively work with attorneys, company colleagues, and clients. Proficiency in Microsoft Access, Excel and Adobe Acrobat is required.
