Legal Writer The candidate will work under attorney supervision to prepare persuasive, high quality, legally compliant briefs and support letters for various immigration petitions. Will compile relevant facts and information from clients, comprehend the legal requirements for the associated project, analyze the facts/information provided, and report to supervising attorney for legal strategy. Evaluate evidentiary record and other documents to support arguments. Under attorney guidance, draft original briefs that concisely relay the relevant facts of a case to the applicable legal criteria. Collaborate with multiple attorneys and paralegals to provide support with various original writing projects. Work with high levels of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information and dealing with professionals inside and outside the company. Create organizational charts, graphs, and other collateral materials to support letters/briefs. Prioritize multiple concurrent projects to meet rolling deadlines. Bachelor’s degree or Paralegal certificate is strongly preferred. Law firm/legal experience is a plus. Very strong technical skills; must be proficient in using Microsoft Office and Mac computers is needed. Excellent writing skills, with ability to adjust style and tone in accordance with the objective of the writing is needed. Strong attention to detail, including grammar and spelling; ability to catch errors and correct the work of other is essential.
