A law firm seeks an Associate Attorney with 0-5 years of experience to join its Chicago, IL office, specializing in commercial litigation and real estate law. This role is ideal for a motivated self-starter with strong organizational skills, an entrepreneurial approach, and the ability to handle a high volume of cases. Duties:

  • Manage a large caseload, ensuring files are handled efficiently and with attention to detail.
  • Draft, review, and prepare legal documents, maintaining a high standard of written communication.
  • Represent clients in court, presenting arguments and advocating effectively in various proceedings.
  • Interact professionally with clients, attorneys, and other stakeholders, providing superior client service.
  • Conduct legal research and develop case strategies that align with client objectives.
  • Collaborate with team members in a fast-paced, collegial environment to support case preparation and development.

Requirements:

  • 0-5 years of experience in law, with exposure to commercial litigation or real estate law preferred.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills, with the ability to handle multiple files efficiently.
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive approach to client service and business development.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with an ability to present cases clearly.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Licensed to practice law in Illinois, or recently took the Illinois Bar Exam.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in legal research and computer skills to support case work.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • High level of motivation with a focus on client service and relationship-building.
  • Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
