Training Specialist (Medical), GS 9 Duties: The candidate will be the single point of contact responsible for planning, administering, developing, and evaluating a complete education and training program for all military, appropriated fund, and volunteer employees assigned to the 56th Medical Group and to serve as the primary point of contact for the 56th Wing Self Aid and Buddy Care (SABC) course. Will develop the training plan for the Medical Group's Life Support Programs and the Wing's Self Aid and Buddy Care Program.Develops education and training materials and testing procedures. Conduct various training courses for assigned group personnel. Assist the Group Training Manager in education of activity managers and designated activity trainers on effective education and training programs. Serve as the project manager for the Access database.Manages and ensures effective use of the database by developing employee records of scheduled and completed training and updating information in the system as necessary. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification and Experience

Qualifications: The candidate should have 1+ year of specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of the subject area of the position and of the methods and techniques of instruction, which includes knowledge of medical-based programs and objectives in order to identify training requirements, and development programs; knowledge of medical services training processes, or training program processes in order to develop a comprehensive training program; knowledge of basic budget preparation as it applies to preparing operating and capital expenditures

The candidate should have Master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree OR a LL.B. or J.D. degree [remove LL.B or J.D. Degree , if unrelated]. Education must have major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled.

Must have combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position.

Must have knowledge of medical-based programs and objectives in order to identify training requirements, and development programs that will assist in meeting the Medical Group's management objectives and knowledge of the military and civilian Medical Services training processes, or training program processes in parallel business and industry organizations, in order to develop a comprehensive training program. Must have knowledge of basic budget preparations as it applies to preparing operating and capital expenditure training budgets and knowledge of and skill in developing course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques in order to develop self-contained training courses, obtain training resources and assess overall effectiveness in order to meet identified training requirements.
