ProfileSenior Real Estate Attorney The candidate will be performing disposition and loan closings and preparing the agency's contracts, but it also performs many related functions. Will perform difficult and complex legal work having significant financial, procedural, and policy consequences. Perform closings of conveyances of City- owned property, construction loans, and/or permanent loans. Prepare and/or review complex legal documents related to real estate transactions and governmental approvals. Negotiate difficult and complex issues, transactions, and documents. Analyze federal, state and local statutes and regulations. Handle other complex legal issues pertaining to the implementation of housing programs.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have Admission to the New York State Bar; and 4+ years of recent full-time responsible, relevant, satisfactory legal experience subsequent to admission to any Bar, eighteen months of which must have been in the supervision of other attorneys, in an administrative, managerial or executive capacity, or performing highly complex and significant legal work. Must remain Members of the New York State Bar in good standing for the duration of this employment. Significant preference will be given to candidates with experience in transactional real estate should preferably have. Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as proficiency with PC software such as Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
