Legal Assistant The candidate will be responsible for providing administrative assistance to 2-3 attorneys. Will be answering phones, scheduling appointments/meetings, following up on all emails received, communications on behalf of the attorneys. Copying and filing of all case file information and setting up case files as company protocol dictates (Amicus, binders, new case folder, etc). Completing transcription of attorney dictations. Dictation needs to be completed within a 2 day turn-around time. Preparing filing for file clerk on designated days. Closing case files according to firm protocol. Keeping work area tidy and organized. Maintain copiers for firm; arrange service when need, orders supplies for copier, trouble shoot problems with copier and communicate to copier vendor. Efiling and filing of court documents and necessary items. Process bills/invoices to be paid via attorney approval and request and process checks for these services. Assisting in all aspects of litigation, draft correspondence, pleadings, interrogatories, discovery documents and filing as directed by court. Maintains an organized environment, handles interruptions, works well in a busy and detailed culture. Provides outstanding customer service to all customers in accordance with expectations. Adheres to all policies and procedures including safety and compliance programs. Maintains confidentiality of all current and prospective client information in accordance with HIPAA guidelines. High school graduate: some college preferred. Should have 3+ years of experience in administration or comparable assignments. Should have 1+ year law office experience.
