ProfileContract Legal Assistant The candidate will review, process, and track internal and external requests for appointments and deadlines for physicians. Will serve as the main point of contact for facility-wide questions pertaining to the legal department. Organize and maintain legal sensitive materials including audio dictations, patient physical records/imaging, subpoenas, etc. Work together in coordination with the physicians and clinic supervisor to meet urgent and changing deadlines. Ensure proper invoicing for services received, tracking and depositing, including billing and pre-payment for services as outlined. Communicate effectively and politely in writing and verbally with all levels of the organization. Provide high-level customer service when responding to the public and outside regulators. Reviews and carries out all scheduling requests per the physicians' preferences, understands and follows established clinic Policies and Procedures. Maintain confidentiality. Scan, save, distribute, and/or record all pertinent information related to the legal department. Calculate the amount to be billed to the requester, prepare the invoice, and send to the requester. Schedule Record Reviews, IME's trial, deposition, and flights for providers Schedule appointments for providers and provide them with required records/reports.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have High School diploma or equivalent, Bachelor's degree is preferred. Should have 3+ years of administrative experience in a legal office or legal environment preferred (1 year minimum required). Knowledge of legal terminology and HIPAA is needed. Form and maintain positive, effective working relationships with physicians, patients, and fellow employees is needed. Provide top-notch customer service to internal and external clients and staff is needed. Proficient using Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, and Excel is needed.
