Pre-Hire Immigration Lead Specialist The candidate will be responsible for providing immigration support, analysis and guidance to recruiters and potential candidates, and providing recruiters with a determination regarding long-term employability for those candidates requiring visa sponsorship. Will schedule and lead call with new hire candidates to obtain information/documentation needed to assess immigration profile and prior immigration history. Escalate red-flag issues to recruiters and liaise with law firms to make determinations. Liaise with business to provide recommendations on long-term employability. Update RMS with immigration details needed for case initiation with law firms. Answer recruiter, business and candidate questions regarding candidate’s immigration profile. Provide information to candidate regarding firm's immigration policies and programs. Provide recruiter and candidate with visa timelines and process work flow overview. Answer candidate questions regarding what is required for a timely onboarding with firm. Ensure that PHIS data is maintained with a high degree of timeliness and accuracy, and conduct periodic audits and reviews. Maintain high level of proficiency in relevant firm's technology resources, including CIP database; escalate and collaborate with necessary parties to resolve technical and data issues. Provides cross-functional and collaborative support across other NIV work streams as needed based on project needs and PHIS member skillset.
Qualification and Experience
The candidate should have BA or BS undergraduate degree or US-equivalent. Must have 5+ years of solid immigration experience, working at a law firm as senior paralegal or as in-house immigration specialist. Must have ability to take complex issues and provide comprehensive, easy to understand guidance and communications to stakeholders while leveraging strong Project and Program Management skills. Must be proficient Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio, Taleo, SAP). Must be experienced in interacting with business leaders, and providing guidance and counsel to stakeholders across all levels of the firm.
