A law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney to handle case evaluation, client communication, legal research, drafting legal documents, and court representation. The ideal candidate should possess strong research and writing skills, the ability to work independently, and familiarity with civil litigation matters.

 

Duties:

  • Evaluate cases, provide recommendations, and support legal proceedings.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and opposing counsel.
  • Propound and respond to discovery requests.
  • Conduct legal research and draft memoranda on various legal issues.
  • Draft complaints, motions, pleadings, and other legal documents.
  • Prepare for and participate in depositions, court hearings, and mediations.
  • Provide excellent service to all clients and maintain professionalism.
  • Utilize software tools like Excel, Word, IManage, Outlook, and PowerPoint for case management.

 

Requirements:

  • In good standing with the California State Bar.
  • 2-5 years of legal experience, preferably in complex civil litigation, construction, or personal injury matters.
  • Strong research and writing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and multitask with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with courts and E-Filing procedures.

 

Education and Certifications:

  • Juris Doctor (.) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Active membership in the California State Bar.
