Job Overview: A law firm in New York City is seeking a Mid-Level Leveraged Finance Associate Attorney to support its lender and borrower side practices. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience with leveraged buyout financings, excellent academic credentials, and large law firm experience. This role requires a strong understanding of complex finance transactions, along with outstanding analytical, writing, and communication skills.

Duties:

  • Advise clients on leveraged finance transactions, including structuring, negotiation, and documentation.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate credit agreements, loan documents, and security agreements.
  • Support both borrower and lender clients in leveraged buyout financings and other financing arrangements.
  • Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations and client requirements.
  • Conduct legal research and provide guidance on complex leveraged finance matters.
  • Assist in the due diligence process for financing transactions.
  • Provide strategic advice to clients on financial risk management and debt structuring.
  • Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, and regulatory agencies in a professional and efficient manner.
  • Manage multiple finance deals and ensure timely delivery of work.
  • Stay updated on evolving laws and regulations in leveraged finance and related areas.
  • Perform other legal duties and responsibilities as required by the firm.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in leveraged buyout financings.
  • Prior experience working in a large law firm with a focus on finance or corporate transactions.
  • Strong understanding of complex financial instruments, credit agreements, and debt financing structures.
  • Admitted to practice law in New York State.

Education:

  • JD degree from an accredited law school.
  • Excellent academic credentials are essential.

Certifications:

  • Must be admitted to the New York State Bar.
