Assistant District Attorney The candidate will be responsible for handling the vertical caseload of felony cases involving investigating possible bias cases and prosecuting of hate crimes. This commonly involves working extensively with members of the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force and often concerns incidents which garner significant media attention. In addition to handling these investigations and cases, position also requires community outreach to impacted groups and educating members of the public and law enforcement on hate crime prosecution. The candidate must have a J.D. degree, be an active member of the New York State Bar in good standing and have 4+ years of experience as a prosecutor. Substantial grand jury and felony trial experience is required. Experience in investigations, including drafting search warrants is needed. Talent and proficiency with PowerPoint presentations is essential.
