Job Overview:
A prominent law firm is seeking an experienced Securities Associate or Of Counsel to join its Investment Funds Group. The ideal candidate will have at least 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings, with a strong focus on commercial real estate law, including real estate finance, acquisitions, and dispositions. This role involves working on a variety of transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, complex financings, and real estate development. The candidate will represent public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors. Strong analytical and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Duties:

  • Lead and manage structured securities offerings with a focus on commercial real estate transactions.
  • Advise clients on acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and complex financings in the real estate sector.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate legal documents for real estate transactions.
  • Represent real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors in various transactions.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, providing legal counsel on complex real estate matters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and clients to identify and capitalize on business development opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all transactions.
  • Meet deadlines and expectations while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 6 years of experience managing structured securities offerings in the commercial real estate sector.
  • Experience at a top-tier law firm (AmLaw 100) is preferred.
  • Proven track record in handling complex real estate transactions.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under pressure.
  • Experience representing public and private real estate companies, REITs, and institutional investors.

Education:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.

Certifications:

  • Admitted to practice in the jurisdiction in which the position is located.
