Profile

Compliance and Insurance Coordinator The candidate will review, evaluate, and address compliance issues/concerns within the organization to mitigate risk and preserve company assets. Understands organizational policies and procedures necessary to ensure that appropriate decision-making protocols are followed in regards to compliance. Manages the preparation and enrollment paperwork in Owner/Contractor Controlled Insurance.Report OCIP/CCIP claims to appropriate insurance carriers and manage supporting communication and inquiries. Assists with coordinating non-compliance requests being channeled to appropriate departments when initial request was submitted to compliance. Identifies potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk. Develops/implements corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues, and provides general guidance on how to avoid or deal with similar situations in the future. Document and issue reporting to highlight any issues or trends that pose a risk to the company’s business. Distribute information to management and ensure all company policies are adhered to.Provide feedback and information in the creation of policies and procedures from a compliance standpoint. In cooperation with General Counsel and Insurance Carriers, manages the claims process to ensure that claims are being settled fairly, consistently, and in the best interest of the entity. Assist in the review of sales installation contracts as needed, and/or new program activities for loss and insurance implications. Provide for the establishment and maintenance of records including insurance policies, claim and loss experience. Manage an environment of compliance, ensuring that procedures and processes are in place that ensures a high level of compliance with organizational requirements, external regulatory requirements and customer compliance programs.

Qualification and Experience

The candidate should have Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred). Paralegal or other certification is a plus only. 2-4 Years of experience in compliance/insurance required (construction industry experience is a plus). Must demonstrates general knowledge of compliance and insurance regulations. Should have familiarity with specialized insurance services industry related systems and applications. Must have effective organizational and time management skills. Should have intermediate skills in computer terminal and personal computer operation; Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Exceptional oral, written and interpersonal communication skills are required. Must be proficient in computer skills including MS Office including Outlook, Word, Excel. Should have ability to obtain and understand nationwide, state, and local regulations including to business, contractor and local.
