Dallas office of our client seeks estate planning attorney with 1-3 years of experience. The candidate will seek to bring on new clients by applying communication and problem-solving skills to deliver estate planning legal services. Will have a mentor attorney/advisor to work closely. Host and speak at public workshops, educate probable clients about all of their estate planning options. Meet with probable clients for first consultations and gather all necessary information to make planning recommendations, and most importantly, get the client to overcome procrastination, and sign up. Meet with existing clients and review possible changes or upgrades to estate plan. Engage clients to move forward with preparation of estate planning documents. Review draft of estate plan to ensure that plan meets client?s needs and wishes, along with any recommendations made to client. Conduct document signing appointment with clients, including notarization of all documents, explaining the plan and how it was designed and answer any questions or address any concerns that they may have. Assess any opportunities to refer client to affiliated financial advisor and, if client is agreeable, set up free initial meeting with a financial advisor. Respond to any client phone calls or e-mails. Keep detailed notes of all meetings and phone calls electronically and make sure that notes are maintained inside the client file. Meet every week with a mentor attorney to discuss complicated client matters and get any technical questions answered. Perform all other projects as assigned. Must be licensed as an attorney by the state Bar of Texas. Sales experience is preferred.
