Profile

Water Rights Adjudication Paralegal Candidate will provide general administrative, paralegal, and clerical support to attorneys and technical staff engaged in determining water rights. Will prepare water rights pleadings and offer packages; keep the adjudication database current; prepare reports on the progress of the adjudication; maintain adjudication files and service of pleadings; participate in development of ways to streamline or simplify adjudication procedures; and occasionally support attorney staff in mediation or litigation of contested water right sub-files.

Qualification and Experience

Candidate must have: Paralegal certification. Associate's Degree in Paralegal Studies and 2 years of work experience drafting and preparing legal correspondence, conducting legal research and maintaining a case management/tracking system. Any combination of education from an accredited college or university in a related field and/or direct experience in this occupation totaling 4 years may substitute for the required education and experience. Familiarity with water and natural resources law.
