Real Estate Lawyer The candidate will create value through the skillful and timely negotiation, drafting and closing of real estate purchase and sale agreements and ground leases. Review, evaluate, draft and negotiate a wide range of real estate related documents, including easements, SNDAs, estoppels, CC&Rs, leases, loan documents, licensing agreements and construction contracts. Manage and coordinate outside real estate counsel, related legal expenses and budget. Review and approve legal fees for payment. Identify and resolve highly complex legal, regulatory, and business issues requiring highly specialized knowledge and judgment. Acts as the lead real estate lawyer for the company by networking effectively to share subject matter expertise across a broad cross-section of the organization. Provide legal advice and service by combining skill and knowledge in real estate law and corporate law with sound business acumen and judgement of business goals and objectives of the company. Should have advanced university degree in law (e.g. JD or LLB). Meets local legal license requirements. Should have 5-7+ years commercial real estate legal experience at a law firm or in-house. Should have significant experience managing multiple, complex, strategic, specialty law projects, issues, and transactions.
