Duties

  • Client Advocacy: Represent clients in court, including appearances, hearings, and trials.
  • Legal Research: Research relevant legal issues to support case strategy and client consultations.
  • Court Preparation: Prepare clients for court proceedings, including hearings and trials.
  • Communication: As required, engage in phone conferences and meetings with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties.
  • Case Management: Maintain case deadlines and coordinate communication with opposing counsel.
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential legal issues within cases and develop strategies to minimize litigation risks.
  • Document Preparation: Draft and synthesize research findings into memoranda, briefs, and other written submissions for clients, courts, and mediators.
  • Firm Standards: Uphold ethical and professional standards, delivering timely, quality work aligned with the firm’s case-tracking goals.

Requirements

  • Bar Admission: Licensed to practice law in Florida (Required); Georgia Bar License preferred.
  • Experience: Proven courtroom and trial experience, specifically in personal injury litigation.
  • Work Ethic: High personal accountability with an ability to work independently in a metric-driven, fast-paced environment.
  • Client Focus: Strong client service skills, emphasizing timely and effective communication.

Education

  • Degree: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited institution.

Certifications

  • Bar Admission: Active Florida Bar License; Georgia Bar License preferred.
