FOIA Analyst 3 Duties: Reviews and responds to the client’s Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, cases and appeals. Reviews the client’s memorandum for support of its FOIA response. Performs legal research on FOIA policy, regulations and law. Researches privacy related issues complex legal and investigative cases. Proven track record of successfully working with executives, managers and directors on FOIA. To provide a wide range of administrative support to the designated client, allowing them to concentrate on their core functional and operational objectives.
Qualification and Experience
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree. 7+ years of experience processing FOIA Requests, Cases, and Appeals. Experience in explaining and translating technical FOIA information into plain language for internal and external audiences. Expert in drafting and reviewing memorandums. Experience with processes and procedures in the Federal Government environment. Excellent Researching and resolution skills. Strong Organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong client interaction and customer service. Decision-making skills. Experience writing legal memorandums. Federal government experience. Strong experience working with FOIAXpress. Desired: Law degree, Legal experience.
