Legal Administrative Assistant, Human Rights Program The candidate will provide support to the Human Rights Program team, attends regular staff meetings and has the opportunity to learn about strategies surrounding human rights framework. Will maintain professional and user-friendly office filing system. Schedule meetings and conference calls, and prepare relevant material. Answer telephones, screen calls and take messages. Fax, copy, mail and complete other general administrative duties as assigned. Prepare, proofread and edit legal and other documents. Handle travel arrangements. Conduct Internet and other factual research. Provide administrative support for manager review of applications for intern positions. Work jointly with interns and communicate routine and/or procedural guidance on projects assigned by managers. Demonstrate a commitment to diversity within the office using a personal approach that values all individuals and respects differences in regards to race, ethnicity, age, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ability and socio-economic circumstance. Perform other clerical duties as assigned. Must have proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and have experience with Internet research. Strong communication and interpersonal skills is required. Must have strong research and writing skills. A demonstrated interest in international human rights framework is preferred. Fluency in Spanish is preferred. Bachelorâ€™s degree or 2 years related experience is preferred.
