We are a high-volume and fast-growing Immigration law firm seeking a top-notch Bilingual Associate Attorney. The ideal candidate will have two or more years of Immigration court experience. They will have excellent organizational skills, speak both Spanish and English fluently, and have a passion to help as many undocumented immigrants legalize as possible.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal support and guidance to paralegals and support staff
  • Advise clients on the best behavior while cases are pending, including confiding in family and friends and social media use
  • Meet with clients at the office to discuss the pending cases and strategize
  • Find ethical solutions to legal matters
  • Strategize on how to resolve the clients’ cases in a favorable and cost-effective manner
  • Enlighten clients about legal options and making them know the possible outcomes or threats
  • Develop ideal arguments and representing clients
  • Stay informed about legislation changes and caselaw
  • Prepare legal documents such as dispositions, pleadings, and contracts timely and accurately

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bilingual English-Spanish
  • Juris Doctor degree from an American Bar Association accredited law school
  • Previous experience in Immigration court and EOIR filings
  • Commitment to abiding by local, state, and federal laws and behaving ethically
  • Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, public speaking skills
  • Ability to negotiate, research, and communicate verbally and in writing effectively
  • Adaptability and attention to detail
