The role Providing legal advice and working with the Director, Legal Affairs to support to the Branded Apparel business unit, which will include informing management of the legal considerations that impact the retail business and providing legal opinions, recommendations and strategies to management with respect to various business initiatives. Providing legal advice and working with the Director, Legal Affairs to support to the yarn-spinning division, which will include informing management of the legal considerations in connection with current yarn-spinning operations as well as with capacity expansion projects. Preparing, reviewing and negotiating a variety of commercial contracts to support all aspects of the Branded Apparel and Yarns businesses, including agreements with customers, suppliers and service providers in the areas of sales, warehousing, screen-printing, sourcing, information technology, credit management, employment and other areas. Performing legal services related to the management of the company's real estate portfolio, comprised of both owned and leased properties, by negotiating leases and subleases and real estate transactions. Working with and guiding specialized external legal counsel to ensure that the Company's strategies and interests are being supported and advanced appropriately. Being a team player and a corporate generalist who is willing to take on a variety tasks. Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to high ethical standards. What you bring to the role Knowledge & Expertise University Degree and 10 years relevant experience. Attributes License to practice in South Carolina or eligible for license under Rule 405. Either Juris Doctorate or . degree required. 2-5 years of relevant corporate, real estate, and/or commercial transaction law experience with a renowned law firm or with a large consumer business. Professional, highly organized and detail-oriented. Possess the ability to work independently, to thrive under pressure and to meet deadlines in a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment.
